Fabulous tour with Philip!
Highly recommend.
“Philip told us about himself and then so much of Stockholm’s history as we cycled through and over 8 islands.
He was inclusive, totally authentic, warm, and engaging.”

The best bike tour in Stockholm!
Starting from our rendezvous bike shop in Kungsholmen close to T-Centralum we will first stop at City Hall to take in the magnificent views, inner courtyard, and architecture. We will continue towards the city center, passing by Gamla Stan; the Old Town, on our way to Riddarholmen to enjoy breathtaking views of the City Hall from another angle as well as look out toward Sodermalm. We will talk about Ridderholmen Church, Birger Jarl, Gustav Vasa, Queen Cristina, the founding of Stockholm, and major historical events.
We will swing back through Old Town, visit the main plaza, great church, and pay a visit to the statue of St George and the Dragon before moving on into the city.
We will also pass by my favorite peppermint store! Did you know peppermint was invented in Sweden?
We will then continue on to Djurgaden at a leisurely pace soaking in the boardwalks, the easy bike lanes trees, passing by Skansen, Vasa Museum, Prince Eugen Palace, The National History Museum and more. At each point of interest, we’ll stop share a story and take time for photos.
About halfway through the tour, we will pause for a “fika”, a traditional Swedish coffee break, at a well known but hard to find “country style” cafe. After coffee, we loop back through the city passing by Kungsgardan, and Hötorget then finishing at the bike shop.
“Stockholm seduces, surprises, enchants and delights. Romantic light and medieval streets of Old Town take you back to a beguiling time. On your tour, you will hear and feel the history of Old Town, the smells and tastes, and embrace the sights, sounds, and beauty of this marvelous city. We take a slow pace and approach and enjoy the moment. You will feel like you’ve walked or biked through a time portal! I love to share a narrative history of the Old Town, Gamla Stan as we walk through the narrow streets visiting all its key points. As we explore the city the mix of old and new comes alive., whether you’re a Viking history buff or an ABBA fan.”
